school supplies

All over Atlanta, and, quite possibly, within your community too, there are children who are underprivileged and do not receive the same things a large majority of us did growing up. Something so simple as school supplies (basic supplies needed to progress as a student in a public institution) are a hard thing to obtain.

I know of a few families that really need help (especially through the holiday season). I'm hoping to bless them with school supplies for their children and maybe even a few things to put under their Christmas trees.

I've released my Christmas album (shown in the post before this) and all profits from the album go to helping them buy school supplies for their children. Although the album is up for free, please donate anything you can for the cause.

Tis' the season!

Today, I released my Christmas album. It is up on bandcamp for donation only. All donations go to provide school supplies for underprivileged children.

funny youtube comments

Sometimes, I get the funniest comments from people. After I started posting videos on YouTube, I definitely expected it to happen. I get the most hilariously rude or ignorant comments on the video of my cover of Rebecca Black's song, "Friday".

What do I do with these comments? Let them sit there and fade away into cyber space? Of course not. I respond to them with sarcasm.

I didn't even understand this guy's comment. 

Its funny how people are oblivious to the rest of my music career. Friday over shadows all of it. I'm cool with that for now.

At least I wrote a response without misspelling anything. 

This guy just knows the inner depths and desires I have. He revealed them to everyone. My secrets are out.

Classic.

I understand this is only fueling a fire that should be lit in the first place, but the decency of others (or lack there of) doesn't harm or affect me. Thank goodness for honest and encouraging people. I become more and more thankful for them each day.

First things first: I released a new album a few months ago. You can check that out here.

Other news, I am working on a 3rd album and its a full-length. For those who have been following my project for sometime now, thank you so much for your support. I've been able to record and release my music because of all of you.

Thoughts Today

I would just like to take a blog post to thank everyone who has supported and shared my music. I'll be coming up with some sort of 'THANK YOU' to everyone soon... (updates on that will appear on here at a later date).

BUT in the meantime, I want to let you all know that the online release date of the Casey Harper EP will be March 4th.

This means that all those outside of the local area (Atlanta, GA) will have the opportunity to purchase the album and listen to it till your ears get enough of it (and, hopefully, by that time I'll have another album out!!).

AND another update...
The work on the full length album has begun!!! I'll be letting you know when I get into the studio and all of that sort of thing.

But enough about the future.

On February 19th, I'm playing a show at Under The Couch, a Georgia Tech student-run music venue in Atlanta. Its $5 to get in and I will have CDs there for you to purchase (so bring an extra $5 if you'd like one).
